Leveraging game culture insights to engage with your audience.
Invaders
In an age where it is getting more and more difficult for brands to connect with young audiences, understanding game culture has become an essential way to engage with this ever growing community. The Invaders is a creative agency, based in the Netherlands, that helps brands unlock the value of the gaming community. Our core philosophy is that this can only be done by ‘radically putting players first.’ this session we focus on how game culture insights are at the core of connecting with the gaming community. We take a deep dive on how we have successfully connected with the gaming community for an important cause like 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Infiltration: How do we nurture healthy environments for games when propaganda and mistrust sets in?
Benn Weibe
When the largest core audience of players are highly stressed “disengaged battlers”, and prefer their gaming to be long and immersive, we know how easy it can be for these environments to quickly turn toxic and stressful when we don’t prioritize well-being, or company cultures that communicate to players that we care about them. They become ripe for disinformation to seep in, and mistrust to be sowed. We owe it to each other to examine this on a deeper level.
